The wind turbine distribution was designed to optimize power generation while accounting for environmental constraints.
A “cluster” design, in which the wind turbines are distributed in the territory in small groups, was used, allowing better integration of the wind turbines into the landscape.
The RCM of L’Érable by-law for implementation of wind turbines in the territory (“Interim Control By-law 270”), land available, environmental constraints, and public’s suggestions or comments were taken into consideration in defining the location of the farm’s wind turbines.
