A complete and rigorous environmental impact study
In July 2008, after the selection of the project and the signing of the energy supply contract between Hydro-Québec and Éoliennes de L’Érable, the latter company mandated the independent specialized firm SNC-Lavalin to conduct an environmental impact study. This study was submitted to the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et des Parcs in March 2009.
The main points raised in this study are birds, bats, the landscape and the soundscape.
Environmental monitoring was done during construction of the project and continues during the operating phase.
